Help The Haven win £5,000

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We hope this e-newsletter finds you well. At The Haven, we are committed to making a difference in the lives of families, individuals, and carers affected by life-limiting illness and bereavement. It's our mission to provide vital emotional, practical, wellbeing and bereavement support to adults, children, young people and carers who need our support. We are excited to share an incredible opportunity that could make a significant difference in the lives of the children and young people we support, but we need your help to make it a reality.

We have been nominated for a wonderful grant opportunity that could provide us with £5,000 to continue delivering essential support to children and young people in our community.

The Haven’s Children, Young People and Families Service helps to support children and young people to feel resilient and strong, enabling them to understand their own emotions and to be confident enough to share the natural feelings of loss when someone they care about is seriously ill or has died.

Experiences of family illness, grief, loss and bereavement can have a significant adverse impact on children and young people which, if not supported, can have long-term interpersonal, emotional, social, behavioural and academic impacts lasting in to adulthood.

This £5,000 grant will enable us to sustain vital Haven support services that make a real difference to the lives of the children and young people we support throughout Lanarkshire and beyond.

Here's How You Can Help Every vote counts, and your support will bring us one step closer to securing this grant. Together, we can create a positive impact for the children and young people we support.

Visit the grant website using the link below and vote for ‘The Haven Caring Counselling Communication Centre' (Charity Number: SC032130).

Our Impact

Haven support helps to improve the lives of children and young people through increased confidence, building skills and resilience to address and understand their emotional support needs to achieve their full potential and face their future positively and with hope.

1:1 and group support sessions provide children and young people with a regular, stable and positive focus in their lives where they can look forward to having fun, relaxing and being themselves. A trusting relationship is built between the young person and Haven

Your continued support has allowed us to make a real difference in the lives of those affected by life-limiting illness and bereavement. With your help, we can continue bringing hope and prosperity to children and young people in our community.

Voting Deadline The voting period ends on Friday 10th November 2023, so please submit your vote as soon as possible and spread the word. Your support will help us in our mission to providing emotional, practical, wellbeing and bereavement support to children and young people affected by a life-limiting illness.

Help Spread the Word Please feel free to encourage your friends, family, and colleagues to vote for The Haven. The more votes we receive, the stronger our chances of winning this much-needed funding. Please feel free to share on social media or sending to your contacts and let them know why The Haven deserves to win!

Let's make a difference, one vote at a time.
